Technology philanthropist-entrepreneur Eric Pulier’s latest venture is set to disrupt digital commerce

Veteran technology entrepreneur Eric Pulier’s most recent startup in the technology space takes aim at bridging the gap between the digital and physical world of commerce. Santa Monica based vAtomic Systems is using the latest trends in cloud computing, internet-of-things devices, mobile technology, and blockchains to reinvent digital asset transactions.

History of disruption

Making waves in technology sector is nothing new for Pulier. In 2006, he co-authored a book with Hugh Taylor called “Understanding Enterprise SOA”. The book became an invaluable resource for business executives trying to make sense of emerging trends in service-oriented-architecture, and it gives a set of best practices for key stakeholders to employ in an enterprise setting.

He is a prolific public speaker and has authored many articles in notable publications. In 1997, he spearheaded “The Bridge to the 21st Century” for then U.S. President Bill Clinton.

Pulier’s gives his attention and substantial resources to various philanthropic causes. Many of the causes he is involved in revolve around using technology to help disadvantaged children better connect to the world, address pediatric chronic illness, and multiple sclerosis awareness. He is a board member of X Prize Foundation, a non-profit organization that fosters technological innovation to solve difficult problems by managing public competitions that award the most promising solutions.

Humble beginnings and new frontiers

Pulier graduated from New Jersey’s Teaneck High School in 1984. He was accepted to Harvard and graduated Magna Cum Laude, receiving a B.A. in American and English literature. As a child, he built his first computer, which sparked a lifelong passion for technology and innovation. His humble beginnings planted the seed for his determination in the business world and his passion for philanthropic activity.
